About us
We are a Bible-believing, Christ-centered local assembly of believers committed to living by, standing upon, and proclaiming the word of God.
Our story
Canaan began as a Mission, formed by a group of devout Christians in the summer of 1924, and was organized on November 19, 1924, in the old Flint Community Building on E. Dewey Street.
Our pastor
Rev. Demond L. Pryor is a son of Canaan and a native of Flint, Michigan. He preached his first sermon in 1996, at the age of 19.
